Our Location

Our boat The Jenny Wren lives at the Craobh Haven Marina on the serene West Coast of Argyll in Scotland. This is roughly half way between Oban and Lochgilphead,

How to find us

Craobh Haven Marina is about two and a half hours from Glasgow City Centre by car:  Get Directions

  • either via the A82 and A83 to Inveraray and Lochgilphead, then 17 miles north on the A816
  • or via the A82 to Crainlarich and Tyndrum, then the A85 to Oban and 22 miles south on the A816

Craobh Haven Marina is about 2 miles off the A816 up a minor road signposted Craobh Haven, Craobh Marina and Lunga Estate. Turn right at the T junction at the bottom of the hill and drive straight ahead, dropping down into Craobh Marina car park (do not bear left down the village main street).

There is ample free parking in the main park. Our rendezvous point is by the picnic table in front of the marina office overlooking the pontoons.

By Train

The Rail route from Glasgow Queen Street terminates at Oban which is about 20 miles north of Craobh Haven. You will need to take a taxi (estimated cost £45), bus or arrange a pick-up in advance.

By Bus

Most long distance services terminate at Lochgilphead or Oban. The local Oban to Lochgilphead service runs 3-4 times a day on the main road, and only one daily service extends to Craobh Haven village itself (the school bus!).

By Plane

The nearest major airport is Glasgow, situated to the west of the City Centre, which is a drive of just over two hours.
